Sundae Silrok

This Sundae Silrok branch at Hyehwa did not disappoint me. Their broth is rich and tastes better with salty baby prawns and other ingredients they provide (free-flow). If you're near Hyehwa and craving some hot soup with pork/sundae, I strongly recommend giving this restaurant a try! Especially if you're a tourist. It is worth it.

I visited this restaurant last Saturday and instantly felt how much people love this place—it has that warm, welcoming vibe. The good news is that even though it’s clearly popular, there are plenty of seats available, and the space is quite spacious and comfortable. I also really appreciated that they have seating designed for solo diners, which makes it a nice spot to enjoy a meal alone without feeling out of place. Food-wise, I brought two of my Filipino friends with me because I wanted them to experience authentic Korean cuisine and they absolutely loved it! They’re usually not into Sundae (Korean blood sausage), but they were pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was here. The way this restaurant prepares their dishes really stands out. As someone who’s familiar with Korean food, I can honestly say the flavors here aren’t just your average—they’re special. We ended up ordering a lot (couldn’t help it!) and enjoyed every bite. One of my personal favorites was the traditional Korean rice drink (I forgot the name, but you’ll know it when you see it—it’s refreshing and slightly sweet!). Their menu has so many options, whether you're craving something comforting or adventurous. This place is definitely worth a visit. Come hungry, and don’t be afraid to try something new!
